These instructions are intended to be a guide for installing your Razor Ultimate Kit from Electro & Company. While every effort has been made to create an easy and intuitive experience, sound judgment should always be used and best practices for any mechanical and electrical installation still apply. Please take your time and follow each step carefully.
- Remove all of the old Razor electronics, including the batteries, controller, and motor.
- Install the new motor in the same orientation as the original motor. It is recommended to use medium strength thread locker (generally blue) on these fasteners. Due to manufacturing tolerances on the Razor swingarms, it may be necessary to remove a small amount of material from the heat sink around the motor in the area indicated.
- Install the new battery into the frame. Depending on which battery option was chosen, it may be necessary to bend the tabs on the battery tray out slightly to accommodate the larger battery size as shown. Secure the battery in place using velcro straps, tie down straps, or another similar fastening method. It is critical that the battery is held very securely in place, if the battery comes loose while riding it can be extremely hazardous.
Note: If your frame has a second, smaller battery tray it will be necessary to cut along the yellow lines shown in the image to remove it.
- Connect the harness, battery leads, and motor leads to the controller. Connections should be made based on the diagram below. DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY LEADS TO THE BATTERY AT THIS TIME.

5. Mount the controller to the frame using the supplied hardware. It is recommended to use
medium strength thread locker (generally blue) on these fasteners as it is critical that the
controller does not come loose while riding.
6. Install the sprocket onto the motor, ensuring that thread locker is used to secure the nut.
Tip: It may be helpful to install the chain and rear wheel, then tightly hold the rear brake
to tighten the nut on the front sprocket. Remember that the nut is left hand threaded.
7. Install the volt meter, throttle, and on/off switch onto the handlebar and connect to the
harness. All connectors on the harness are unique and will only plug into the correct switch.
Connect the 6-pin connector from the motor to the harness.
8. Once the harness is connected, secure it to the frame using zip ties or velcro straps. Take
your time during this step and run the wires as cleanly as possible, avoiding any sharp edges
that may wear into the wires over time. It is recommended that foam padding or cable wrap
be used anywhere that wires could touch the metal frame.
9. Take a moment to check that all connections are tight on the controller and that all wires have
been properly secured, then plug the battery leads into the battery. Power on the bike with the
rear wheel off the ground and give the controller a few seconds to power up. Gently turn the
Throttle until the rear wheel begins to rotate, and if the system works as expected you are ready
to ride!
